Add new life to your orchids!

Once your orchids start looking like this, it's time to send your flowers to the spa!

I take my orchids out of the pot, and leave them in a kitchen sink full of warm water for a few hours, so they cab soak up lots of water and replenish their thirsty roots.

The result is magnificent - and now they can go back to growing and looking beautiful in your home!

Washi tape ideas

Always have pens laying around the house? Or use straws everyday, and need a good way to store them? Or do you have any other small things laying around the house that need organizing? The options are endless!

Wash an empty glas jar, decorate it with washi tape of any design or colour you like, and voila - a new, pretty and functional pen holder worthy of your desk! ;-)

...Or a new straw holder!

DIY - Upcycle Laminate Dresser

We recently moved, and instead of using a small fortune on buying new dressers, I decided to upcycle two old Ikea Malm dressers we had in storage.

The Ikea malm dresser is made of laminate... I asked the man at the paint store, which primer I would need for laminate - he insisted it would ve impossible to paint, and that I would be waisting both my time and money... Which only got me more fired up, about wanting to make my dressers look fab, to prove this guy wrong!

Walt Disney said:"if you can dream it, you can do it", and sure enough, my laminate dressers look better than any store sold dresser I have ever seen! And it was simple and fast!

First I painted it with one coat of basic primer, and then two coats of paint. Voila!

I absolutely love the colour - and the end result!

Don't ever let people hold you back from succeeding!

You Can Stand Under My Umbrella / DIY Magnets

My 2-year old LOVES  magnets, and somehow we end up collecting them in all sizes and shapes!

A friend gave us some cute figures made out of self adhesive felt, so we decided it was time to turn some old robot magnets, into pretty girly ones ;-)

We cut up the old magnets, glued them onto the felt, dipped them in flour to make them not stick and voila - brand new pretty magnets that we can play with!
